We offer a free initial consult call to discuss the general details of your project. The END goal being… to develop a long term business relationship and to foster the growth of your line. This would not work if we produce a product and it sits on the shelf and never sells.
Once the initial brief has been done and we have given some indication of what needs to be done to get to the next step we have the Product Design stage, at this point the Client will be much more informed, realistic and better prepared to make their first foray into the Cosmetic market. A major benefit to working with a Cosmetic Consultant when developing your brand/product is that the formula/s (intellectual property) remains yours, whereas, IF you make use of a Contract Manufacturer the formula often remains THEIR intellectual property. This proves problematic when/if you ever consider moving to alternative manufacturers at a later stage. We as Cosmetic Consultants will be able to steer you to the proper resources and referrals. INTRODUCING LAUREN LAMONT, MSc Pure and Applied Chemistry; Dip Cos. Sci (SA) Lauren Lamont (nee Pietersen) is a skilled cosmetic formulator. Lauren holds a Master's Degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal where she graduated with several Certificates of Merit and Deans Commendations. She has also published several articles in peer review Journals including the Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, the Journal of Peptide Research and Therapeutics and the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Review. Lauren also holds a Diploma in Cosmetic Chemistry from the Society of Cosmetic Science South Africa where she graduated top in the country and received the Norman Sanan Award for most innovative product design. In 2011, Lauren began pursuing her real passion in the personal care industry. She has been involved in the research, development, innovation and manufacture of some of South Africa’s leading skin care products. Over and above Lauren’s own brand, Natralogic, she continues to work in the personal care industry as a Research and Development Chemist for some of South Africa's top products and brands including Woolworth, Lil-Lets, Clicks, Sorbet, Oh So Heavenly, Disney, The Tan Lab and Island Tribe to name a few. Lauren is passionate about her industry and in providing safe and efficient world-class products, be it in local natural and organic brands or the more traditional synthetic brands. She lives in Durban, KZN, where the head office and laboratory for Lamchem is based. |
