Regulatory Affairs Manager – Hurlingham Manor, JHB

The Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for regulatory services provided to member companies and various stakeholders. The main function of the position is to ensure that the Cosmetic Industry is served by a representative, effective and proactive Trade Association.  Members should feel that they receive value by belonging to and participating in the affairs of the Association.

The incumbent will be advising and educating members on the regulatory/legislative environment, maintaining and improving processes and open channels of communication with various Government departments, presenting various training topics and acting as a liaison for the industry.

Key Competencies:
·  Good knowledge of the South African legislative environment
·  Good knowledge of the global legislative environment
·  Ability to lobby and network at various  levels
·  Ability to present at public forums
·  Fluency in English with excellent writing skills.
·  Extremely well organized and very high attention to detail.
·  At least ten year’s regulatory/ technical experience in the cosmetic industry
·  Team player with a customer-oriented approach

A relevant Chemistry degree
Honours or Postgraduate qualification ideal
10 – 15 years’ experience within the cosmetic industry

Fluency in English
Interpersonal skills
Communication skills – both written and oral
Timely execution skills

Proposed salary:
Negotiable related to experience
